2021 OVGA Intersectional Teams & Results
Men’s 2021 Intersectional Team
The Men’s OVGA Intersectional team played on Sunday, July 4, 2021, at Petawawa. The golf clubs playing in Division I were Petawawa (Host), Cedarhill, Dragonfly and eQuinnelle. The winning club was eQuinnelle with 53 points. Finishing 2nd and hosting again next year was Petawawa with 37 points. Cedarhill finished in 3rd with 21 points and will return to Petawawa next year. Moving down a division was Dragonfly who finished with 9 points.
Ladies’ 2021 Intersectional Team
The Ladies’ OVGA Intersectional team played on Sunday, July 11, 2021, at Renfrew. Playing in Division F were Renfrew (Host), Cedarhill, and Lombard Glen. The winning club was the host team Renfrew with 21 points. Cedarhill finished 2nd with 15 points and Lombard Glen finished 3rd with 6 points. Although there may be a slight re-ordering of the Ladies’ OVGA Divisions next year, Cedarhill will likely host in 2022.
Senior Ladies 2021 Intersectional Team
The Senior Ladies’ OVGA Intersectional team played on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Cedarhill. The competing clubs playing in Division G were Cedarhill (Host), Prescott, Madawaska and Mountain Creek. The Ladies played extremely well finishing 1st with 30 points. Mountain Creek finished 2nd with 26 points, Prescott 3rd with 17 points and Madawaska finished 4th with 11 points. The benchmark for outstanding play is a player winning all their matches and taking six (6) points – accomplishing this for Cedarhill were Karen Acton, Jill Finlin, Wendy Buchanan, and Susan Gillean. Congratulations to all the Ladies for finishing 1st.
Senior Men’s 2021 Intersectional Team
The Senior Men’s OVGA Intersectional team played on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Prescott. The clubs competing in Division E were Prescott (Host), Upper Canada, Cedarhill and Hammond. The home team won the Division with Prescott taking 50 points. Cedarhill finished 2nd with 26 points, Hammond 3rd with 24 points and Upper Canada finished 4th with 20 points. Cedarhill’s strong play and the resulting 2nd place finish means Cedarhill will host in 2022.

Men’s 2022 Intersectional Team
The Men’s OVGA Intersectional was played on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at Petawawa. The golf clubs playing in Division I were Petawawa (Host), Cedarhill, Mont Cascade and Canadian. The winning club was Petawawa with 43 points. Finishing 2nd and hosting next year was Canadian with 36 points. Cedarhill finished in 3rd with 22 points and Mont Cascade finished 4th with 19 points. Cedarhill will remain in Division I and will travel to the Canadian next year. The benchmark for outstanding play is a player winning all their matches and taking six (6) points – accomplishing this for Cedarhill was Mathew Banning.
Ladies’ 2022 Intersectional Team
The Ladies’ OVGA Intersectional team played on Sunday, July 17, 2027, at Cedarhill. Playing in Division F were Cedarhill (Host), Lombard Glen, Rockland, and Pembroke. The winning club was Rockland with 33 points. Pembroke finished 2nd with 25 points, Cedarhill finished 3rd with 16 points and Lombard Glen finished 4th with 10 points. Cedarhill will remain in Division F and will be traveling to Pembroke next year. The benchmark for outstanding play is a player winning all their matches and taking six (6) points – accomplishing this for Cedarhill was Jill Finlin.
Senior Ladies 2022 Intersectional Team
The Senior Ladies’ OVGA Intersectional was played on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Cornwall. Playing in Division F were Cornwall (Host), Cedarhill and Pembroke. The winning club was Cornwall with 25 points. Cedarhill finished 2nd with 17 points and Pembroke finished 3rd with 0 points. Cedarhill will remain in Division F and will be hosting next year. The benchmark for outstanding play is a player winning all their matches and taking four (4) points – accomplishing this for Cedarhill was Susan Gillean.
Senior Men’s 2022 Intersectional Team
The Senior Men’s OVGA Intersectional was played on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Cedarhill. The golf clubs playing in Division E were Cedarhill (Host), Hammond, Sand Point, and Hautes Plaines. Cedarhill taking advantage of the home field won with 36 points. Finishing 2nd and hosting Division E next year was Hammond with 34 points. Hautes Plaines finished in 3rd with 29 points and Sand Point finished 4th with 21 points. Next year Cedarhill will play in Division D and will travel to the Canadian. The benchmark for outstanding play is a player winning all their matches and taking six (6) points – accomplishing this for Cedarhill were Pierre Ladouceur, Tom Pulcine, and Marty Wells.
2023 OVGA Intersectional Teams & Results
Men’s 2023 Intersectional Team
The Men’s OVGA Intersectional was played on Sunday, July 9th. We played against Falcon Ridge, Hammond, and the Canadian, who hosted the event. Although everyone gave their best, we ended up finishing 3rd. Hammond won the Division (I) and the Canadian finished 2nd and will host again next year. Greg Nezan won all three of his matches, taking 6 points…the benchmark for excellent play.
Ladies’ 2023 Intersectional Team
The Ladies’ OVGA Intersectional was played on Sunday, July 16th. We played against Algonquin, Renfrew and Pembroke, who hosted the event. Pembroke won the Division (F), Algonquin finished 2nd and will host next year, and Renfrew finished 3rd. Although everyone gave their best, in a tough division, we ended up finishing 4th and will move down a division next year and play at eQuinelle. Thanks to Greg White, our Pro, for making the trip up to Pembroke, for your continued support.
Senior Men’s 2023 Intersectional Team
The Senior Men’s OVGA Intersectional was played on Monday, Aug. 28th. We played against Prescott, Greensmere and Renfrew, who hosted the event. We were in tough playing in Division D, although everyone gave their best, we ended up finishing 4th and will move down a division next year and play in Smith Falls. The home team, Renfrew won the event.
Senior Ladies’ 2023 Intersectional Team
The Senior Ladies’ OVGA Intersectional was played on Tuesday, Sept. 5th at Cedarhill, who hosted this event on a scorching hot day. We played against Hammond, Buckingham and Pembroke. With everyone playing their hardest, we ended up finishing 3rd. Hammond won the Division (F), Buckingham finished 2nd and will host next year, and Pembroke finished 4th. Maria Dilay won all three of her matches, taking 6 points…the benchmark for excellent play. Thanks to Tom Pulcine & Greg White for performing host/starter duties which made this a very successful event.
